ourselves, the Magazine Group, have produced a book containing excerpts from the
parish magazines of 1991-2000,
By their nature, magazine articles are somewhat ephemeral - here this month and gone the next - yet many are very interesting and worthwhile. We hope you will enjoy this selection and buy copies for yourself and for all your friends.
You may find that something you wrote is included, or perhaps you are mentioned in one of the articles!
Priced at £3 and produced wholly in-house, ‘Through the Open Door’ is available on the bookstall at the back of the Abbey. All profits will go directly into magazine funds.

Pen”
“An Open Door" publication,
‘Splutterings from Judy’s Pen’, priced at £4.50, is a compilation of the articles which Judy contributed to the parish magazine over more than four years. She shares her faith and her knowledge of the Abbey in a very down-to-earth way which readers will find very helpful. The proceeds from this book go to the Magazine Fund. It is available on the Bookstall.
‘Days in the Life of a Church Mouse’
The promised book which collects together the stories of Hector the Abbey mouse is now available on the Bookstall in the Abbey. Written by Ralph Beddard and entitled ‘Days in the Life of a Church Mouse’, it is priced at £2.50.
Like all the best children’s books, these Hector stories appeal at least as much to adults as to children. In this case it also has especial appeal to anyone who knows and loves the Abbey building and the church life within it.
