7.30 a.m. Mattins

Said according to the 1662 Rite.

8.00 a.m.   Holy Communion

This is a simple service, without music, and follows Common Worship Order I. The congregation usually numbers about 70.

10 a.m.      Sung Eucharist

This follows Common Worship Order 1 and is the main service of the day, drawing a regular congregation of about 300. It includes a sermon and both choral and congregational music. A special area of the Abbey (laid with carpet) is set aside for parents with very young children, if required, who are all very welcome. Children and others who are not confirmed are welcome to join the rest of the congregation at the altar rail for a blessing. After the service the congregation (especially newcomers to the Abbey or visitors) are encouraged to meet for coffee in the Church Rooms nearby. A Shorter Eucharist is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. The Sunday Schools attend and the service is geared to the younger members.

10 a.m. Third Sundays `Way-In' - Informal Worship, Prayer and Learning for all ages in the Abbey School Hall.

11.30 a.m. 1662 Holy Communion (3rd Sundays Only)

6.30 p.m. Evensong

Evensong follows the 1662 rite. Choral Evensong (where much of the music is sung by the choir on behalf of the congregation) is held four or five times a year.

In addition to these services, there is also a monthly celebration of Holy Communion according to the 1662 rite. This is on the third Sunday of each month at 11.30 a.m. in St. Lawrence's Chapel.
