Music In Romsey Concerts
All concerts take place in Romsey Abbey.
Facilities for the disabled are available at Romsey Abbey.
Music in Romsey is an enabling body run by an ad hoc committee and team of volunteer helpers set up in 1984 and now a Registered Charity. This allows up to twenty concerts and recitals each year to take place in Romsey Abbey with a minimum of disruption to the normal use of the building as a place of daily worship and religious observance.
Using its knowledge of Romsey Abbey , Music in Romsey is able to provide visiting musicians with advance booking information, ticket advice and sales, concert staging and seating plans as well as ‘stage managing’ and ‘front of house’ facilities. These facilities combined with the splendid acoustic, the restored 1858 J W Walker Organ, Nave Organ and a Bluthner Grand piano, are available to assist professional performers of international repute as well as local and national amateurs in their performance.
For arranging a concert please telephone 01794 512502 or e-mail msronthenet@ntlworld.com.
