Harvest Thanksgiving 2020

Sunday 11th October 2020, we celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving in the Abbey.

We are looking forward to welcoming Andy Lester as a guest speaker for the 9.30 am Parish Eucharist. Andy is the Head of Conservation of ‘A Rocha UK’ (ARUK) a Christian Charity working for the protection and restoration of the natural world, committed to mobilising Christians and churches in the UK to care for the environment.

You are also invited to donate in support of Romsey Foodbank. Items should be dropped off in the basket by the south door either before or on the day as you arrive for the service. If you prefer to pledge a financial donation please visit this link –
romsey.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/

Romsey Foodbank are grateful for our continuing support and please take note of their current shopping list:
NEEDED
sponge puddings
sweet treats / chocolates
microwave / instant rice
tins of dog food
tins of spaghetti
instant mash
laundry / washing powder and liquid
Christmas items

NOT NEEDED
soup
pasta
rice tea
UHT milk
tinned tomatoes
baked beans
biscuits

Unfortunately Romsey Foodbank are unable to take home-made or ‘fresh’ goods. They do accept unopened toiletries, nappies and sanitary products but they have a good supply at the moment. All items should have a ‘use by’ date of more than 3 months, and items in small boxes or soft packets are easier to pack in food parcels.
