Romsey Abbey’s Assistant Organist is Adrian Taylor, who holds the Archbishop’s Certificate in Church Music. Appointed in 2011 under Robert Fielding, Adrian studied the organ under John Henville in Arundel and had the pleasure of a master class under the direction of David Briggs.

In addition to the weekly round of services at the Abbey, he has accompanied the choirs on tours to Wells, Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester Cathedral, played for BBC Songs of Praise and also in the presence of HRH the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prior to joining the Abbey, Adrian held positions in Hampshire at St. Mary’s Copythorne, Lyndhurst and Freemantle churches; he was also a part of the team of organists at St. Mary’s, Southampton.

Professionally, Adrian works in the commercial finance sector.
