It has been necessary to make a change to the publicised Weekly Abbey Tour programme for 2019. Please note that 4th September will now be a General Tour at 3 pm and 11th September will be a tour focusing on the Abbey’s windows at 3 pm. This is a great opportunity to find out more about our stained glass windows and the people that they commemorate. There is no need to book for weekly tours (except groups). Looking ahead at events for children and grandchildren there is a pop-op play session run by Rhiannon Wilmott, Children & Families Worker in the South Garth (Abbey Garden) on Wednesday 21st Augusr 10.30am – 12 noon. This event will be subject to the weather. On Wednesday 21st August at 3pm the Weekly Abbey Tour is a tour specifically for children. On Sunday 1st September at 3pm, there is a family picnic in the South Garth. Bring your schoolbags / bookbags / packbacks for blessing and then there will be den building.  More »
