Christenings

We are delighted to receive enquiries for Baptisms, also known as Christening, either for your new family member or for yourself.

During a christening your child will be baptised with water and welcomed as part of a wider church family. It’s the start of an amazing journey of faith for your child and a special day for all your friends and family. To give you the best possible support as you prepare for your Christening, we invite you to come to a Sunday service where you will be welcomed by one of our team.  After this please please contact our Parish Office who can guide you through booking, including inviting you to a one hour Baptism preparation session.

Baptism / Christening services take place at Romsey Abbey at 12.45pm on the first and third Sundays of each month, or as close to this pattern as possible. It is also sometimes possible for a Christening to take place during one of our main Sunday morning services.

To request a baptism/christening please join us at one of our Sunday services and introduce yoursleves to a member of the clergy after the service.

We welcome you into the Lord’s family;

We are children of

the same heavenly Father.

We welcome you.
