Fundraising for our Zero Carbon Projects

We are researching and drafting applications to potential grant funders, including some offering match-funding for any funds raised.

Most funders will not award grants until we can provide costings of the projects concerned. In addition, funders want evidence of need for the projects and/or community support, which is why we have run surveys about the lighting in the Abbey and for users of the Church Rooms.

We have benefited from two fundraising campaigns for the Lighting project:

The Church of England's "Give to Go Green" campaign offered match funding for funds raised in June 2025.

The Big Give Christmas Appeal supported us in December 2025.
